How it works...

•THE CONTEST:
Each month, I’ll spotlight a different breed with a chance to win a mini outdoor or studio session. All dogs of that breed are welcome to apply, and absolutely no training or perfect manners required… chaos is welcome.

•APPLY:
Apply using the form below—feel free to gush as much as you want about your dog. I fully support the obsession.

•THE SESSION:
The winner must be available on a set date and location chosen by the photographer (that’s me). The session is just for the winning dog, with a mix of portraits, action, and all their perfectly chaotic in-between moments.

*There will be some runner-ups!!

When do you close entries?

Entries close at midnight on the last day of the month!

When & Where does the photo session take place?

The winner of our Breed of the Month Competition will win the following prize:

•Outdoor photography experience for 1-2 pets from the same household ($190 value)

•Curated on-line viewing gallery with reveal video

•an 8x10 desk print & $100 toward artwork and/or digital files ($200 value)

•Option to purchase additional images and wall-art/prints (starting at $400)

We try to schedule the following month and it'll *likely* take place at Dogpatch Photography/70 Acre Wood...my private destination just for dog photography (located near Chatfield, MN).

Do I have to pay anything?

There is no obligation to purchase anything if you're selected. However, please enter only if you're genuinely interested in professional portraits of your dog.

The prize includes a complimentary photo session and a $200 artwork credit to be used with wall art, an album,  or portrait box

Digital files are not included but may be purchased separately, and your credit can be applied toward any artwork or digital collection.

Can I be in some photos?

Absolutely!! Lot's of people hate having their photo taken, and that's fine, but I do adore capturing a pet and owner loving the heck out of each other. It's something you can't easily capture yourself, so make the most out of me! I'll get some really nice memories for you.
