Frequently asked

QUESTIONS

My dog doesn't know how to sit or stay, is that a problem?

Not at all! Some of my favorite portraits are of dogs standing up. And rest assured, I have a DEEP well of unique sounds and tasty treats to grab their attention-even if it's just for a split second while I capture each image.

What colors do you have to choose from?

Almost all the colors! You'll be able to choose 2 different colors.

Where are sessions held?

Most sessions are held at 70 Acre Wood Studio (located between St. Charles & Chatfield, MN).

Is there anything you do before taking the photos?

We’ll start with a few minutes of light conditioning so your pup can get comfortable with the studio lights. I’ll toss some treats to help your dog warm up to me.Conditioning simply means holding a treat or toy near my camera while I make a gentle “camera” sound. After that, I’ll softly pop the flash a few times to see how your dog responds. Often it’s the pop sound of the lights that makes your dog wonder what’s up.

Can I be in the images too?

Of course! Many clients do the legs only shot, hands or a shot where the owners are sitting with their pup.

Do you photograph pets other than dogs?

YES! Cats!! I love cats! Most cat sessions are in my studio. I have a wealth of cat toys, catnip spray, feathers...you name it!

What time will our photo session be?

Most happen during the weekday but we don't have to worry about the sun so the time is flexible.

this is for

you

if...

You want a full-service experience with a complete customizable session

You value quality & want to celebrate your dog through stunning artwork

Your pet will be the main focus of the session (but you should also be included in a few of the images! It can just be your legs if you want.)

You want a photographer who also thinks your dog is awesome & will treat her/him with the utmost love & respect

don't wait

until

it's too late

“Dogs’ lives are too short. Their only fault, really.”
—Agnes Sligh

Yes, pet photography is a luxury—but it’s one that’s truly worth it. If you’re as obsessed with your dog as I think you are (you’ve read this far!), why wait until it’s too late?

Let’s capture some beautiful memories together—and don’t worry, there’ll be treats for everyone!
